Aras® today announced that the BMW Group is implementing the Aras PLM Platform as its backbone for test data management. This system will support planning, scheduling, execution, and documentation of vehicle tests and test results at various stages of vehicle development.

Aras PLM continues to play offense. The company recently announced it acquired the Impresa Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) business from Infospectrum. The purchase of Impresa looks like a good fit. The idea is to integrate this solution into the Aras PLM suite, Innovator, and offer complementary MRO capabilities to help manufacturers to digitally transform the development and maintenance of complex products.

Aras®, a provider of open and upgradable product lifecycle management (PLM) software for the enterprise, today announced it has been named a Leader in “The Forrester WaveTM: Product Lifecycle Management for Discrete Manufacturers, Q4 2017.” Forrester noted that “Aras is an emerging vendor in the PLM space, but has made significant inroads to the market with significant discrete manufacturing client wins and customer boasting advanced PLM implementations using their PLM Innovator product.”

In the PLM business, being named to the "PLM Mind Share Leaders" list by analyst firm CIMdata, is a big step. This exclusive group contains the major players in this fairly static world. So far, only Dassault Systèmes, Siemens PLM, Autodesk, SAP, PTC, IBM and Oracle have passed through the eye of the needle.

Aras® was named a “PLM Mindshare Leader” by CIMdata, the leading independent global strategic management consulting and research authority focused exclusively on the PLM market. Aras was recognized in the CIMdata 2017 Executive PLM Market Report based on the company’s industry vision, platform approach, and the impact that Aras is having in the market.

The goal of the project was to develop a stand-alone, tablet-based application that provided only the essential functionality of the Aras Component Engineering application and was accessible to any user from any location at any time. AMC Bridge developed Aras Component Search, a custom, stand-alone mobile application that supports the component search and procurement process.
The Aras Component Search application provides direct access to the IHS CAPS Universe electronic component database. Users can also initiate part approval requests and corresponding approvals directly through the application.
