Aras, the next leader in enterprise product lifecycle management (PLM) software, announced the general availability of the latest release of Aras Component Engineering, which seamlessly brings electronic component data from the leading electronic component database, IHS CAPS Universe, into the Aras Innovator PLM workflow.

Aras, once a little known, quirky take on open source PLM, appears to be carving out a spot in the big leagues, landing yet another large enterprise deal — this time with aerospace giant Airbus.
