Technology demonstration

Gaining wide experience in the areas of computer-aided design (CAD), engineering, manufacturing, and construction, AMC Bridge continues to research integrated solutions for CAD platforms. Thus, we are happy to present the Feature-Based Proprietary CAD Data Translation technology demonstration.

As a test use case, the technology demonstration establishes interaction between the SOLIDWORKS® integrated design environment and the Onshape® product development platform using the Onshape REST API and SOLIDWORKS API that contain a feature-by-feature description of the model.

Feature-Based Proprietary CAD Data Translation demonstrates the possibility to automatically reconstruct a SOLIDWORKS model in the Onshape environment and reconstruct an Onshape model in the SOLIDWORKS environment.

Watch this demo video to see Feature-Based Proprietary CAD Data Translation in action.

If you are interested in learning more about the demonstrated technologies and how they can be utilized for your organization’s needs, please contact us to discuss the details.

  • Data Conversion from the Mechanical CAD System to BIM in the New AMC Bridge Technology Demonstration

The demand for digital product data in the construction sector is accelerating faster than ever. Its driving factors, among others, are increasing adoption of building information modeling (BIM), legal requirements for product traceability, and commercial pressure to deliver fully specified technical designs of projects quicker and error-free. However, architects and mechanical engineers have different design needs, resulting in varying and often non-compatible CAD tools and file formats. AMC Bridge suggests one example of a workable solution for that problem in the CAD-to-BIM Translator technology demonstration.
  • AMC Bridge Technology Demonstration: Integration of Visual Programming and Generative Engineering with Legacy CAD

Radical new engineering software tools have emerged in recent years that allow engineers to leverage domain knowledge and computational power to speed up the end-to-end product development process. Yet to leverage these new tools, manufacturers need to access and integrate decades of CAD data, expertise, and workflows. AMC Bridge explores a solution for this challenge in the brand-new Generative Design for Legacy CAD technology demonstration.
