Posted by DailyCADCAM - AMC Bridge, a global software development consultancy catering to engineering, manufacturing, and construction sectors, initiated operations in India this year. In a meeting with the company executives during their visit to India, I had the opportunity to converse with Vadym Synakh (COO), Boris Shoov (Executive Vice President), and Kateryna Synakh (Director of Marketing & PR). Our discussion encompassed various aspects, including an understanding of AMC Bridge, the services it provides, trends in the CAD and CAM industry, engineering software development, and the roadmap of AMC Bridge for India. Here is the interview.
Could you provide some insights into your background and introduce your company?
Vadym Synakh: In 1999, we established ourselves as a modest engineering outsourcing firm. Initially, we were a team of three individuals operating as a startup from an apartment. As time progressed, we pinpointed our niche in engineering software and officially structured our business around it.
Today, AMC Bridge is a worldwide software development consultancy headquartered in the USA, extending its reach to Europe and Asia through multiple offices. The company specializes in providing engineering software development services across a broad spectrum of industries. Our expertise covers diverse facets of the engineering process, such as modeling, simulation, automation, and data management. As of 2023, our organization boasts a global team of approximately 750 specialists. Recognized by the Financial Times as one of the fastest-growing companies, we are actively propelling our growth by establishing subsidiaries in India. Our hiring efforts are in full swing in Chennai and Pune.
We’ve been fortunate to engage in numerous groundbreaking projects across diverse domains. Our focus has been on driving digital transformation for clients through tailored software solutions, breaking down data silos, integrating intricate applications, fostering internal innovation, and making leading technologies accessible. Our team possesses extensive expertise in APIs, SDKs of major engineering software solutions, various platforms, and a deep understanding of computational geometry, 3D visualization, and other advanced technologies. This collective knowledge allows us to effectively address our clients’ crucial business requirements. Over time, we’ve been honored with multiple awards, recognizing our exceptional operational capabilities and prowess in engineering software development.
Prioritizing the quality of our deliverables and streamlining communication with clients has been a cornerstone of our approach. This commitment has enabled us to establish a reliable customer base, characterized by long-term partnerships with some clients and recurring engagements with others who consistently present new challenges.
Boris Shoov: Historically, our primary market has been the United States, but we’re experiencing a growing clientele from global regions. To date, we’ve proudly served over 350 clients. Our diverse client portfolio encompasses the esteemed “Big Four” in CAD and PLM Software development—Autodesk, Dassault Systems, PTC, and Siemens Digital Industries Software. Additionally, we collaborate with numerous startups pioneering cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, VR, 3D printing, game engine technologies, IoT, and HPC, as well as hardware manufacturers specializing in 3D printers and robotic devices. The software solutions we’ve developed cater to various sectors including manufacturing, construction, and architecture. Moreover, we increasingly emphasize creating solutions for enterprise companies. Some notable clients include 3D Systems, Duracell, Packsize, Stratasys, Katerra, and more. AMC Bridge continues to drive Digital Transformation across diverse industry sectors.
Could you outline the emerging trends in the CAD, CAM industry that you have observed?
Boris Shoov: CAD design has witnessed a remarkable evolution over the past few decades. The shift from 2D CAD to 3D CAD systems, the advent of cloud technologies, PLM, BIM, and the integration of CAD, CAM, and CAE tools have been significant milestones. In 2023, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning have taken center stage, marking a breakout year. The CAD world is in a constant state of flux, with continuous technological advancements shaping how architects, engineers, and designers manifest and convey their concepts. As a vendor working closely with nearly all CAD companies, we have the privilege of identifying emerging trends in this industry. Notably, there’s been a notable surge in the adoption of digital technologies within the AEC market, an industry traditionally lagging behind the mechanical and manufacturing sectors in software technology utilization. This shift is driven by a growing demand for new tools from their clientele. While the future remains uncertain, it’s evident that the industry will persist in its evolution, propelled by the rapidly accelerating pace of technology.
What are your plans for India and message to Indian software developers?
Kateryna Synakh: India offers significant growth potential for our company, given its expansive market and the presence of a large pool of highly skilled professionals, particularly within our industry. We’ve taken steps to tap into this potential by establishing two offices in India, strategically located in Chennai and Pune. Our objective is to continue this steady growth trajectory, actively seeking professionals who share and resonate with our company values.
