Waltham, MA - CAD-to-AR and CAD-to-VR technology demonstrations have been recently certified for the Autodesk® Inventor® 2021 software. Those POC applications continue AMC Bridge's success story in the Autodesk® Certified Apps Program that started with CADtoEarth, by meeting Autodesk's high-level standards and requirements. AMC Bridge's regular participation in the Program demonstrates the company as a trusted partner of Autodesk and a vendor of choice for Autodesk users and the development community.
CAD-to-AR for Autodesk Inventor is a big step for AMC Bridge in demonstrating on how to bring the simulated world into the real one. This POC allows to review Autodesk Inventor 3D models in augmented reality (AR) using the Unity® game engine and EasyAR™ augmented reality engine. Users can view their models in the real world before their production for measurements, design, presentations, or recreation. The set of tools offers a wide range of model manipulations in AR, including rotation, movement, scalability, and more. It is possible to experiment with changeable model opacity, tracking different submodels, and save the best AR scene as a screenshot. The QR code determines the initial model position.
CAD-to-VR for Autodesk Inventor is another significant accomplishment of AMC Bridge research department. Being similar to CAD-to-AR, it also shows Autodesk Inventor 3D models but in virtual reality (VR). The users can view their models, located on the A360™ storage or their local machines, using a web browser. It is possible to experiment with transformation, light settings and share the team or customers' resulting scene.
The Autodesk Certified Apps Program is offered to Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) members with applications that provide the highest quality, integration, and compatibility with selected Autodesk products and releases. Applications developed in the Autodesk Certified App program adhere to Autodesk-supplied guidelines so that users can be confident in receiving one of the best working combinations of Autodesk software and developer applications.
