RANDOLPH, NJ—With the development of Azure Render, AMC Bridge joins the LuxRender open source community. Azure Render enables the physically-based rendering of 3D models on the Microsoft Windows Azure cloud platform.
LuxRender is a free, physically-based and unbiased renderer. It provides realistic images of photographic quality but requires significant computational resources. LuxRender has built-in functionality to perform rendering operations by taking advantage of network resources, enabling multiple computers to work together to increase rendering speed. Azure Render is an implementation of LuxRender on Windows Azure that provides access to the highly scalable computational resources of a cloud platform.
