RANDOLPH, NJ—The Sixth International Scientific Conference, entitled Innovative SolidWorks Technologies in Higher Education, Science and Industry was held at the National Mining University in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. The conference was organized by the National Mining University in conjunction with AMC Bridge.
The conference brought together over 70 specialists, representing large businesses and universities from all regions of Ukraine. Conference participants heard reports from software developers currently working in the SolidWorks environment, researchers using SolidWorks and experts directly applying the software in production activities. Staff from AMC Bridge conducted the following presentations: What New in SolidWorks 2011, DraftSight: Free CAD tools for all DWG files, SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2010, and BuiltWorks: Design of Metal Structures in SolidWorks Environment. In addition, the results of the annual competition «CONCURSUS - 2010» were summarized, finalists, individual winners and project winners were announced and awards given. All conference participants were given the opportunity to participate in the SolidWorks certification program - Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA).
