RANDOLPH, NJ - Cloud Renderer for Revit, developed by AMC Bridge LLC, was awarded second place among more than 40 applications submitted for the Apphack 2.0 competition. The final application presentation and award ceremony took place on December 2, 2013 in Las Vegas during Autodesk University 2013.
Cloud Renderer is a plug-in for Autodesk Revit 2014 that enables physically-based rendering of Revit models either locally or on the Microsoft Windows Azure cloud platform. Physically based rendering provides very high fidelity images but requires significant computational resources. For this reason, it has traditionally been beyond the reach of the mainstream 3D mechanical CAD community, and has been primarily used in the digital art and entertainment industry. Cloud Renderer for Revit enables access to huge computational resources on the Windows Azure cloud platform, providing Revit users with new and expanded opportunities. APPHACK 2.0 @ Autodesk University is a virtual code-fest designed to produce apps/plug-ins for AutoCAD 2014, Revit 2014, Inventor 2014 and BIM 360 Glue. The theme of this years event was Connecting Autodesk to the Cloud.
