The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector has been accelerating its adoption of BIM and the digital enterprise for many years, primarily by acquiring and implementing new technologies and devices. Cloud computing, 3D scanning and point cloud processing, AR/VR and gamification are just a few examples of the technical innovations that the industry has been deploying to make the construction process more efficient and more cost effective.

The main purpose of the project was to create an extension to eTakeoff Bridge, which would establish a bi-directional data exchange between Autodesk® Navisworks® and Sage. AMC Bridge developed Autodesk Navisworks Integrator, the add-on for Bridge, implemented in a form of two intercommunicating plugins for both Autodesk Navisworks and Bridge. With the release of Navisworks Integrator plugin, which enabled seamless data exchange with the popular AEC application and facilitated 3D model-based estimation, the number of Bridge users increased dramatically.

One of Google X’s former moonshots is raising cash as it looks to disrupt the architecture design space with its specialized collaborative data exchange service. Flux Factory, Inc. announced $29 million in Series B funding co-led by Temasek and Surbana Jurong Private Limited.
