Technology demonstration

Waltham, MA—AMC Bridge constantly investigates new and innovative technologies to find out efficient ways of applying them to the construction industry. Construction Safety—Hard-hat Detector, a new web-based technology demonstration that applies machine learning to ensure safety on the construction site, is the latest result of such research.

Driven by machine learning and image recognition techniques of the TensorFlow™ open-source software library, Construction Safety—Hard-hat Detector analyses the frames extracted from the uploaded video and identifies people that do not wear hard hats on a construction site. Once the video file is processed, it is possible to view snapshots where non-hard hat wearers are detected or download them locally.

To ensure maximum flexibility and convenience, the functionality of the technology demonstration allows seamlessly connect to Google Drive™, Dropbox®, or MEGA online storage and choose the necessary video for processing.
