Digitalization of Construction Drawings is a technology demonstration that showcases the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms to enhance facility management and building replanning, pave the way for data digitalization, support proper drawing archiving and history tracing, and provide data recovery possibilities to maintain business continuity. It presents the analysis and conversion of immutable documents in the form of images and photos into more flexible data formats.
Digitalization of Construction Drawings offers the following functionality:
- Recognizing lines, arcs, and arrows in an image.
- Recognizing line types used for the geometric object representation and preserving them in AutoCAD® software.
- Recognizing horizontal and vertical captions in an image.
- Splitting recognized features to separate groups that represent different part views.
- Matching recognized captions with corresponding geometric objects.
- Placing views in the AutoCAD drawing in accordance with a source image.
- Determining the size of AutoCAD geometric objects by the information read from the corresponding captions.
- Supporting PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP image formats.
- Creating editable AutoCAD drawings in the DWG™ format.
Requirements:
- Windows® 10 (64-bit version)
- Autodesk® AutoCAD 2023
