Technology demonstration

Waltham, MA—Keeping pace with the AEC industry's digital transformation, AMC Bridge is happy to present Web View/Convert for Reality Capture, a technology demonstration developed to view and convert point cloud files in a web browser.

With so many point cloud formats and software available for data processing, compatibility and conversion have become essential to the productive use of the point cloud data.

Web View/Convert for Reality Capture explores the potential of converting point cloud files in a web browser using the Autodesk® Reality Solutions SDK, the HOOPS® Communicator SDK, and the HOOPS® Exchange libraries.

Its functionality enables users to upload and view the Autodesk® RCP/RCS files, and then convert them to one of the following HOOPS-supported formats: PCD, VTK, SCS, XYZ, 3MF, SAT, IGES, FBX, JT, X_T, PRC, STEP, STL, U3D, VRML, OBJ.

To see the Web View/Convert for Reality Capture technology demonstration in action, watch a short demo video.
