Waltham, MA—AMC Bridge announces the new release of RhinoToVault™ 1.1, the updated Rhino 5 plug-in for communication with Autodesk® Vault® Basic 2014 - 2016. This plug-in introduces 3DM model check-in and check-out to and from Vault, and allows models designed in Rhino to be seamlessly included into Enterprise Engineering Data Workflow. With this plug-in, users perform the same operations as they do with the Vault add-in for Autodesk products.

In addition to making work flow more similar to common Vault Add-ins, Version 1.1 contains referenced models support and a new Vault Explorer feature.

  • Data Conversion from the Mechanical CAD System to BIM in the New AMC Bridge Technology Demo

The demand for digital product data in the construction sector is accelerating faster than ever. Its driving factors, among others, are increasing adoption of building information modeling (BIM), legal requirements for product traceability, and commercial pressure to deliver fully specified technical designs of projects quicker and error-free. However, architects and mechanical engineers have different design needs, resulting in varying and often non-compatible CAD tools and file formats. AMC Bridge suggests one example of a workable solution for that problem in the CAD-to-BIM Translator technology demonstration.
