Technology demonstration

Waltham, MA—In its research of advanced geometric modeling technologies aimed at benefiting sectors such as CAD software companies, third-party developers, engineering and design companies, manufacturing firms, product development teams, and simulation and analysis firms, AMC Bridge has crafted a Parametric Shaft Modeler technology demonstration. It showcases a precise and efficient tool for creating multi-diameter shafts, highlighting its potential to enhance design processes across multiple industries.

Parametric Shaft Modeler leverages a sophisticated geometric kernel to demonstrate the capability of modeling multi-diameter shafts, applying different shaft section features, such as fillets, chamfers, grooves, threads, and wrenches, which improves the accuracy and effectiveness of the design process.

The prototype opens potential pathways for significant advancements: integrating created shafts into larger assemblies in mechanical engineering, flexibility in developing complex geometries with various features in product design, and manufacturability and precision of custom components in manufacturing engineering.

To see the current functionality of the Parametric Shaft Modeler technology demonstration, watch a short demo video.
