AMC Bridge Supports the All-Ukrainian Educational Event Hosted by Its Academic Partner

Waltham, MA—The results of the AMC Bridge-supported all-Ukrainian student competition “Computer-aided design (CAD) and computer modeling in science and production” were announced during the meeting at Khmelnytskyi National University (KhNU), an academic partner of AMC Bridge.

The competition was sponsored by leading engineering software companies, such as Parametric Technology Corporation and AMC Bridge, and aimed to popularize and improve engineering education in Ukraine.

The participants representing 12 Ukrainian universities submitted 19 projects in the areas of CAD/CAM/CAE and geometric modeling. The results of those projects were presented to the audience consisting of participants, organizers, sponsor representatives, and students of KhNU.

As a part of the meeting, the PTC Onshape team representative Oana Carvatchi delivered a presentation “ONSHAPE: Cloud CAD for the modern era. Onshape for Education and Research” where she outlined the functional features of the modern, cloud-based CAD system Onshape. The Onshape system is gaining popularity among the students of Ukrainian universities. For example, students of KhNU used it while studying the Machine Parts Design course.

AMC Bridge was represented by the Regional Manager Maryna Aisina who talked about the company’s vision of the current state of the engineering software market and provided an update on the students’ employment opportunities with AMC Bridge.

Commenting on the event, AMC Bridge President Igor Tsinman noted, “Promoting modern technologies and encouraging creativity among students is at the core of the company’s Campus program, and AMC Bridge is committed to continue doing it moving forward.”
