Technology demonstration

Waltham, MA—Researching translation between different CAD systems, AMC Bridge has developed 3DFeaturesTranslator™ from SOLIDWORKS® to Fusion 360™, a technology demonstration of importing SolidWorks models into Fusion 360 while preserving their original parametric features.

With 3DFeaturesTranslator™ from SOLIDWORKS® to Fusion 360™, users can translate linear and radial dimensions, line segments, arcs, and circles of 2D sketches and use the Extrude, Revolve, and Cut-Extrude features or their combination. It currently supports only part documents, but future versions are planned to support assemblies as well.

Watch a short demo video to see 3DFeaturesTranslator™ from SOLIDWORKS® to Fusion 360™ in action.

  • Data Conversion from the Mechanical CAD System to BIM in the New AMC Bridge Technology Demonstration

The demand for digital product data in the construction sector is accelerating faster than ever. Its driving factors, among others, are increasing adoption of building information modeling (BIM), legal requirements for product traceability, and commercial pressure to deliver fully specified technical designs of projects quicker and error-free. However, architects and mechanical engineers have different design needs, resulting in varying and often non-compatible CAD tools and file formats. AMC Bridge suggests one example of a workable solution for that problem in the CAD-to-BIM Translator technology demonstration.
  • AMC Bridge Introduces the BricsCAD Vault Integration Technology Demonstration

Constantly striving for seamless integration of design data with various PLM/PDM systems, AMC Bridge introduces BricsCAD® Vault Integration, a new technology demonstration of connecting BricsCAD® and Autodesk® Vault. With BricsCAD Vault Integration, the BricsCAD-generated artifacts can be stored in Autodesk Vault. The technology demonstration enables users to perform regular Vault operations from the BricsCAD side: to save a BricsCAD model with its external references to Vault, retrieve and update either the main model or any external reference attached to it from Vault, and save the changes back to Vault.
  • AMC Bridge Releases 3DWarehouse-For-Revit, an Innovative Plug-in for Autodesk Revit

AMC Bridge announces the first release of 3DWarehouse-For-Revit™, an innovative plug-in for Autodesk® Revit®. The plug-in enables Revit users to browse SketchUp® 3D Warehouse and supports bidirectional data exchange between live Revit sessions and SketchUp 3D Warehouse.
