Technology demonstration

Waltham, MA - AMC Bridge introduced GeoToCAD, which is a result of research on integrated solutions for modelling urban environments.

GeoToCAD is a technology demonstration of establishing a bi-directional connection between Autodesk Revit and ArcGIS®, a geospatial platform. It also allows to import a selected area of the Earth surface from ArcGIS to Revit, place a model on the selected surface and then preview this model on ArcGIS map, as well as save the model placed on the surface as a 3D PDF file.

  • AMC Bridge Presents a Case Study on Enhancing Allegion’s Overtur for Revit

Owing to its deep expertise in engineering software development, AMC Bridge helped Allegion equip architects and designers with the enhanced industry-renowned software—Overtur™ for Revit®. Allegion, a global pioneer in safety and security door systems, faced the challenge of building a connection between architects and Allegion consultants that will help them to readily and precisely choose which Allegion products to include in their designs. Considering Autodesk® Revit® Building Information Modeling (BIM) software as a tool of choice for many architects and designers, Allegion made the decision to unlock the maximum capabilities of their Overtur plug-in for Revit. Combined with Allegion’s industry-leading expertise and AMC Bridge’s in-depth knowledge of Revit, this collaboration was highly successful.
  • Cesium Opens More Doors for Unreal Into AEC

The arrival of the Cesium for Unreal plug-in is fairly recent. It was announced last March and became officially available in April 2021, but the ability to work with large geospatial models in the Unreal game engine is a snowball rolling downhill. The alliance between Cesium and Unreal means that the Unreal Engine supports the open format 3D Tiles pioneered by Cesium, which opens up new possibilities for companies bringing their data into Unreal to create compelling visualizations.
  • AMC Bridge Presents a New Technology Demonstration: FloorPlanMaster

AMC Bridge presents FloorPlanMaster™, a technology demonstration that enables users to automatically create a simple 2D floor plan of a given room, export it to a CAD format, and then view its 3D representation. With FloorPlanMaster, users can wirelessly connect to a Leica™ Laser Distance Measurer, obtain room measurements from it, and have them represented as a 2D plan. It also enables editing the measurements manually and exporting the resulting plan to a CAD format to view the 3D model of the room in either Autodesk Forge™ Viewer or ViewER™.
