Technology demonstration

RANDOLPH, NJ—AMC Bridge announced the released of MeshToPdf - a standalone application that converts data from popular mesh formats such as STL, PLY, 3DS or OBJ, into a PDF file.

As a result of the evolution of sensors combined with improved PC performance, reconstruction of real-world objects has become a popular area of research and development.

Products that enable the collection of 3D scan data from Microsoft Kinect sensor commonly output scan results as STL, PLY 3DS, or OBJ files. MeshToPdf converts data from the these file types into a PDF file with an embedded U3D container. This enables users to share 3D scanning results easily and effectively.

  • Data Conversion from the Mechanical CAD System to BIM in the New AMC Bridge Technology Demo

The demand for digital product data in the construction sector is accelerating faster than ever. Its driving factors, among others, are increasing adoption of building information modeling (BIM), legal requirements for product traceability, and commercial pressure to deliver fully specified technical designs of projects quicker and error-free. However, architects and mechanical engineers have different design needs, resulting in varying and often non-compatible CAD tools and file formats. AMC Bridge suggests one example of a workable solution for that problem in the CAD-to-BIM Translator technology demonstration.

  • AMC Bridge Introduces the BricsCAD Vault Integration Technology Demonstration

Constantly striving for seamless integration of design data with various PLM/PDM systems, AMC Bridge introduces BricsCAD® Vault Integration, a new technology demonstration of connecting BricsCAD® and Autodesk® Vault. With BricsCAD Vault Integration, the BricsCAD-generated artifacts can be stored in Autodesk Vault. The technology demonstration enables users to perform regular Vault operations from the BricsCAD side: to save a BricsCAD model with its external references to Vault, retrieve and update either the main model or any external reference attached to it from Vault, and save the changes back to Vault.
