  • AMC Bridge Extends the VR Experience with the CAD-to-VR Launch

AMC Bridge extends the CAD-to-VR family and introduces CAD-to-VR for Rhinoceros®, a new technology demonstration of viewing Rhinoceros® geometry in VR using just a web browser. CAD-to-VR for Rhinoceros enables users to retrieve CAD models from Rhinoceros, upload them to personal A360 storage and view them in a web browser. With the implemented A-Frame™ web framework, users can rotate and scale models online as well as host and share scenes with other users.
  • AMC Bridge Explores Immersive Experiences in AR with the CAD-to-AR Mobile Technology Demonstration

Tailoring its technologies to meet the challenges of a fast-changing AR market, AMC Bridge releases CAD-to-AR Mobile, a new technology demonstration of having a CAD-centered augmented reality app in a smartphone. With CAD-to-AR Mobile, a user can upload a 3D model from either local storage or external cloud storage, set up base point settings, and view the model in AR using a QR code. Moreover, the technology demonstration allows interacting with several 3D models and QR codes to capture content all in one.
  • From CAD to the Real World

Bringing the simulated world into the real one has become easier with CAD-to-AR for Inventor®, a new AMC Bridge technology demonstration for Autodesk® Inventor®. CAD-to-AR for Inventor is designed to show Inventor 3D models in augmented reality (AR) using the Unity® game engine and the EasyAR™ augmented reality engine.
  • Data Conversion from the Mechanical CAD System to BIM in the New AMC Bridge Technology Demo

The demand for digital product data in the construction sector is accelerating faster than ever. Its driving factors, among others, are increasing adoption of building information modeling (BIM), legal requirements for product traceability, and commercial pressure to deliver fully specified technical designs of projects quicker and error-free. However, architects and mechanical engineers have different design needs, resulting in varying and often non-compatible CAD tools and file formats. AMC Bridge suggests one example of a workable solution for that problem in the CAD-to-BIM Translator technology demonstration.
