From CAD to the Real World

Bringing the simulated world into the real one has become easier with CAD-to-AR for Inventor®, a new AMC Bridge technology demonstration for Autodesk® Inventor®. CAD-to-AR for Inventor is designed to show Inventor 3D models in augmented reality (AR) using the Unity® game engine and the EasyAR™ augmented reality engine.

With CAD-to-AR for Inventor, users can view and interact with Inventor 3D models in AR for measurements, design, presentations, or recreation before their actual production. The initial model position in the real world is determined with a QR code. A set of CAD-to-AR for Inventor tools enables users to rotate, move, or scale the model, experiment with its opacity, track different submodels, and take screenshots of the best AR scenes.
