Technology demonstration

Waltham, MA—Conducting extensive research into the integration of CAD systems with domain-specific libraries, AMC Bridge continues to deliver high-quality solutions for the industry. Our latest Revit® to Kineo™ technology demonstration of interfacing the main Autodesk® Revit® system with the Siemens Kineo™ software is developed to present a potential solution to path planning problems.

Using Autodesk Revit to set up a path planning problem within a CAD geometric scene, and using Siemens Kineo to compute a path for moving an object within a building, Revit to Kineo then exports the computed path to Revit and shows its 3D animation. With this technology demonstration, the user can select an object to move and obstacles to bypass, set up the start and end points of the path, compute, modify, or smoothen the path, and visualize the object being moved along the path in a 3D animation.

Watch a short demo video to see the current functionality of the Revit to Kineo technology demonstration.

  • Data Conversion from the Mechanical CAD System to BIM in the New AMC Bridge Technology Demonstration

The demand for digital product data in the construction sector is accelerating faster than ever. Its driving factors, among others, are increasing adoption of building information modeling (BIM), legal requirements for product traceability, and commercial pressure to deliver fully specified technical designs of projects quicker and error-free. However, architects and mechanical engineers have different design needs, resulting in varying and often non-compatible CAD tools and file formats. AMC Bridge suggests one example of a workable solution for that problem in the CAD-to-BIM Translator technology demonstration.
  • AMC Bridge Connects Autodesk Advance Steel and Autodesk Vault

Integration of engineering software systems is an important part of the AMC Bridge research program. Steel Structures Drawings Manager is our latest technology demonstration created to establish a bidirectional connection between Autodesk® Advance Steel and Autodesk® Vault.
  • AMC Bridge Announces Results of Research on Integrated Solutions Using Geospatial and BIM Data

AMC Bridge introduced GeoToCAD, which is a result of research on integrated solutions for modelling urban environments. GeoToCAD is a technology demonstration of establishing a bi-directional connection between Autodesk Revit and ArcGIS®, a geospatial platform. It also allows to import a selected area of the Earth surface from ArcGIS to Revit, place a model on the selected surface and then preview this model on ArcGIS map, as well as save the model placed on the surface as a 3D PDF file.
  • Construction Document Flow Automation: A New AMC Bridge’s Technology Demonstration

Uneditable documents are a common challenge in construction workflows. To address this issue, AMC Bridge created a new Digitalization of Construction Drawings technology demonstration that showcases the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms to enhance facility management and building replanning, pave the way for data digitalization, support proper drawing archiving and history tracing, and provide data recovery possibilities to maintain business continuity.
  • AMC Bridge Streamlines Construction Coordination with the Integration of Procore Coordination Issues into Autodesk Revit Software

AMC Bridge releases a new technology demonstration showcasing an approach to reducing the communication lag between design and construction by seamlessly integrating Coordination Issues native to the Procore® construction management software into the Autodesk® Revit® building information modeling (BIM) software. The resulting integration helps streamline the team collaboration workflow and ensure seamless user experience, which leads to better quality deliverables and substantial time and cost savings.
  • AMC Bridge Releases Construction Coordination Issue Tracker Technology Demonstration
