Waltham, MA—Integration of engineering software systems is an important part of the AMC Bridge research program. Steel Structures Drawings Manager is our latest technology demonstration created to establish a bidirectional connection between Autodesk® Advance Steel and Autodesk® Vault.

Steel Structures Drawings Manager helps optimize the life cycle of a drawing, control its states, design categories, and revisions. With Steel Structures Drawings Manager, users can access Autodesk Vault PLM documents directly from the Advanced Steel software, modify them, and check the modified documents into Vault.

    AMC Bridge introduced GeoToCAD, which is a result of research on integrated solutions for modelling urban environments. GeoToCAD is a technology demonstration of establishing a bi-directional connection between Autodesk Revit and ArcGIS®, a geospatial platform. It also allows to import a selected area of the Earth surface from ArcGIS to Revit, place a model on the selected surface and then preview this model on ArcGIS map, as well as save the model placed on the surface as a 3D PDF file.
