Recent events at Autodesk University Las Vegas 2012 confirm the increasing success of the CADtoEarth family of applications developed by AMC Bridge and published on the Autodesk Exchange App Store earlier this year. CADtoEarth is a suite of innovative tools that provide a link between CAD applications and cloud-based solutions such as Google Earth or Microsoft Virtual Earth. In the few weeks since CADtoEarth apps have been published on the Autodesk Exchange, they have become some of the most popular apps in the Revit section of the store. They are currently the second most frequently downloaded group of applications, with almost 2000 cumulative downloads as of December 14. The Audodesk Revit and Inventor communities demonstrated great interest in these applications at Autodesk University, where CADtoEarth was one of the featured presentations at THEbar Demo Theater. These applications were part of the training in sessions such as "Revit Architecture Add-in Efficiency", taught by Adam Simmons, regional BIM manager at Gensler, and "Top 10 Autodesk Inventor Exchange Apps", led by Matthew Sederberg, product manager at Autodesk, who commented, "By allowing importing real terrain™ into Inventor, CADtoEarth opens new capabilities for design engineers. Jim Quanci, director of Autodesk Development Network, who highlighted CADtoEarth for Revit in one of his presentations, stated that "CADtoEarth is one of the most innovative applications published on the Autodesk Exchange. By connecting desktop 3D design environment and cloud-based Google service it allows engineers to harness power of both mediums and get work done more efficiently. Download CADtoEarth applications from the Autodesk Exchange following these links: for Revit, for Inventor 64bit and for Inventor 32bit.
