AMC Bridge Releases a New Technology Demonstration—AsBuilt Plus

Visualization Digital Manufacturing Image and Object Recognition

Waltham, MA—Evaluation and analysis of manufactured parts and comparing them to the respective design models have become an essential part of engineering and manufacturing processes. Searching for the most effective ways to automate and simplify those operations, AMC Bridge has created a new technology demonstration—AsBuilt Plus.

Developed for the Autodesk Inventor® CAD software, AsBuilt Plus enables comparing CAD models with point clouds of the manufactured parts to determine where deviations between the CAD model and the actual part exist. Its functionality also allows collating several point clouds, representing the state of an object at the different stages of its manufacturing. The integration with the Unreal Engine® real-time 3D creation tool provides additional visualization opportunities.
